Best Free games for Android 2011-2012

Android has some of the best games you could play, sadly many of those are not free. Some of them are however, and I have done my best to compile a list of free android games for 2011 and 2012. If you have any games that I should add, or at least would like to recommend one, please comment below, you do not need to sign up! I have played mostly all of these games and all of these I enjoyed at least for a couple hours.

Some of these apps and games are truly revolutionary. And by this I mean check out Zombie, Run! Below, it is the first of it's kind. I can not wait to see future versions. This does not mean that all of the other games/apps won't improve as well! It is exciting to see, and I for one can not wait to see all of the new apps/games to come out. Smiley Pops is another very easy game to play and a must have if you have kids, or just want a time killer. This game is very simple as you can see by the video below. You simply move two pieces to try and match up colors. The more colors and combos, the more points you score. Very fun and can kill a lot of time.

Another great game for kids as I said, will keep them very busy, but also great for older people with no gaming experience. Like I said all you do is rotate them.

Angry Birds is an absolute must have game for every single phone. It is the simplest game you could play, and also the funnest. You can only get the lite version for free, but that is more than enough to satisfy me. I really don't have to say much about Angry Birds because it is already extremely popular.

It is great for all ages and genders. There is not one person on earth that could not play this game. All you do is shoot the angry birds with a slingshot and the rest is history. Some of the birds have special powers to help you complete the level.

My #1 actual free game to play on Android

This game is a real timekiller. This is a remake of an old game named Qix on regular Nintendo I loved! This game has a little more to it then the original one, and is actually better. There is no doubt that anyone can play this game as well. It can get very hard, very fast. Luckily there are many different difficulty modes. I usually like to play the hardest, but it is way more fun to easy on this particular game.

You must get this game.

A perfect game that requires no thinking and minimal attention, and also is a great time killer! All you do is try to match up the colors without having the colors get to you! You get a couple items that will help you out along the way. Very simple and easy to understand when you start playing it.

Perfect for kids, they will play it for a while for sure. It is easy at first, so they will have no problem just shooting the turret, and figuring the game out themselves. Some kids won't even know how to play and will continue to.

If you are a numbers and logic person this game is a real must have. And for free, you might as well say you are stealing it. Drop 7 is a 7x7 square playing field that gets very fun, and very addicting. Very similar to a game called chain factor. If you love Andoku/Andoku 2(below), then you will most likely love this game as well.

This game gets tough, but not overly difficult, some young kids could figure it out I'm sure. Certainly worth getting, because it will really help you out when you are at the DMV or on a plane. The video below shows it.

Andtangle is a very fun and simple game to play. It is a remake of an old game. The object is very simple, none of the lines can touch each other. It starts off rather easy and gets very, very hard. So if you want a kid to play it, they may only be able to beat the first couple levels, unless they keep on trucking and trying which would be great! The longer they are on the game the better, especially when in the car.

I really enjoy the game AndTangle, but it isn't addicting or anything since it is a very simple game and there are only so many levels.

You can pretty much get the gist of the game by looking at the picture. As you can see only the circle on the right needs to be moved left. At the bottom it says 0.30 seconds left and at the top it says the level, which obviously has a little to do with the difficulty. Obviously a level is a stage, and each stages gets progressively harder, or is supposed to rather.

Andoku 2 is very similar to sudoku, but obviously different. You really have to play it to understand, much like any game, but when you get it, it is easy to understand. Not always easy to complete the puzzle. I haven't played this particular game, but here is a brief description. This game is supposed to have more modes then you will ever need with different styles and difficulties. It even is possible to play in the dark, with it's dark mode. If you love puzzle games you need to get this both Andokus 1 & 2.

Like I said there is also Andoku, which is exactly like Sudoku, with the original 9x9 squares. Another must have game especially if you are a Sudoku lover, which I don't love it, but it sure helps kill time when I have to wait around somewhere.

#1 app choice for me. I just like the idea behind this game, so much.

Must have game for your kids. Real Exercise! No joke! Sounds very fun, and I could imagine loving this if I was a kid. You use GPS so you can play in your neighborhood or anywhere you are!

It is a very basic game, but it is really cool. I mean really, really cool. I'm hoping for many more versions and updates to come. Also plenty of knock-offs. This app is the beginning of something revolutionary and awesome, I can guarantee that. You can do some pretty cool things which the video shows in much better detail then I could describe. You have got to watch the video.

What you do:

Set the difficulty on how fast you want the zombies to walk/run, then you run like the dickens! You will be able to see the location of the zombies on your phone, but not in real life.. Sorry! You don't see any eye-popping zombies or anything, you just see what is pictured. You are the blue dot.

There is also multi-player mode and a couple of other very cool things you can do, just watch the video.

The object of the game is to RUN!! You are hooked up to the GPS like I said, so you can look on the map.

The only drawback of this game is it seems to only work on about half of the phones.

That is right, Doom is on android! The game that made shooter games in to what they are today, Doom is now available to play for free! It is a must have for a lot of young guys and maybe even some gals! It was considered to have way too much gore back in the day, but in today's world it is mediocre. Back when the Simpsons were considered the evil cartoon, this game was even more evil. Now no one even blinks an eye, funny how the times change.

So if you were one of the kids that wasn't allowed to play Doom, here is your chance to stick it to your parents!

Papipole is a very simple, yet very hard game. You have to balance a lollipop, well it isn't a lollipop it is a pole... Catching hamburgers is the main priority, careful though you don't want to catch the spiked metal balls. It is very basic and easy to play, requires no thinking, just doing. Kids could play it, but it is hard. Good thing you can start over again and again.

Sorry, the video could be much better, but it is all I could find. Skip forward to about 1:57 or so to see the game. It is not action packed or anything, but it kills time.

Tilt Lander is very similar to many games from the past. You have to land your craft safely every time. If you do not do it near perfectly you will crash. NASA doesn't get a second try do they?

Very fun time-killing game. Not that easy for kids, but I am sure they can do it. I can not find a video of it anywhere, but obviously you have to press the button carefully, because going to fast will make you crash, also as you are landing you will need to push the button while maintaining a good speed.

If you think you could improve upon these games then you may want to look into learning how to develop them. It is not rocket science and is more than possible to learn. It may take some time, but if you put the time in it can be done.

Making apps and improving apps will be one of the biggest jobs in the world in the coming years. There are so many things to improve on and so many ways to do it, that there will always be things to do in the app world. You will be able to work on your own apps, perhaps join a group working on a massive app, or find a couple buddies together and throw something together. This can be very profitable, and for our sake keep the apps free, I'll even add them to my site!

A lot of the times it is as simple as getting a good program to make it much easier to make apps. If you are serious about it, check out ebay for some great books on how to learn about it.

Gameboid Lite (Gameboy) is just awesome. It is not easy to set up like the gmes above, but what it does is extremely cool. Watch the video for a pretty good description.

If you are a fan of gameboy, then you need to get this now. After you set it up, it is golden! You get to play a lot of old the gameboy games that you used to love! Believe me, it is way better than any of the games above and way more worth it to actually have this on your phone.
